Spooky Season: Jack - O - Lantern Trend
It’s time for sweater weather, lattes, haunted houses and all of the marvelous things fall has to offer - including the many fall trends that have blown up the gram! One of these trends being the jack-o-lantern head pictures. This year my hubby and I tried it out and have some tips for those of you who are interested! Keep reading!
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
One benefit from doing this trend is that you can carve the pumpkins for your pictures and then reuse them on your front porch for the holidays!
2. Location
We found the last bit of fall leaves behind our house for quick and convenient pictures, but here are some other cute locations I have seen poeple use for this instagram fall trend:
the forest
Up the canyon on a foggy day
At the disco
Cowgirl/Cowboy pumpkins
3. Bring Alternative Cameras
Something about fall just screams film to me! So we did a few shots on my dad’s old Pentax ME Super camera and I love the way the grain and enhanced colors looked on this pumpkin themed photo! I also think a Polaroid camera would be super cute to bring on a shoot like this!
4. Have fun with the props!
We brought random stuff to try out on this fun shoot like mini pumpkins, atmosphere spray, leaves, an old camera as a prop, so on. Not everything worked out the way we thought, but it made for a really fun date!
One thing is for sure, next year we are grabbing the pups and trying out the spooky Ghost sheet trend, because this was too much fun!
