A Maine Wedding

Rocky coastlines, lobster dinners and charming lighthouses… What’s not to love?! Check out this Maine wedding inspiration from a Northern Utah Photographer.

Getting There

Getting into the Bar Harbor area can be done by flying into Bangor, ME airport (the hometown of Stephen King) OR by taking Cape Air in a Cessna and seeing the coastline from above (in a smaller plane) from Boston to Bar Harbor!

The Wedding!

These two cute people are the most adventurous humans I know, so it was only fitting that they got married after a morning of fishing on the coastline of Maine!

Their reception was held at the Sorrento Historic Library and it was such a beautiful and unique space for their gorgeous dinner and celebration!

Things to Do

My top four favorite things we did on our trip!

  1. Primo - farm to table restaurant in Rockland, Maine. It was the best food I had on the entire trip and had great scenery on the farm! I got the Swordfish and the Peach Crostata!

  2. Cadillac Mountain, Acadia National Park - Acadia National Park was beautiful and we enjoyed the Sand Beach, Beehive trail and views of the coasts, but our favorite view was from the summit of Cadillac mountain. Be sure to reserve ahead of time here: https://www.nps.gov/acad/planyourvisit/cadillac-mountain.htm.

  3. Bass Harbor Lighthouse - one of the prettiest light house views we saw on our trip. Be sure to hike lower for the rocky coastline in your pic!

  4. Acadian Nature Cruises - Taking a Boat ride and tour off the coastline of Bar Harbor!
