Zion National Park, Utah Elopement: The Love Story of Tracie and Luke

Tracie and Luke met at the Crossfit gym and ran in the same circles as one another. In 2023 Tracie saw the Spicy Tie band, not realizing that was the band Luke was in. He waved to her while on stage and she waved back. It was a friendship that grew with every text and every hang out into more and more… and later blossomed into a deep love. The two bonded over Wisconsin cheeses (one of their snacks including a cottage cheese/Cheetos combo), the Green Bay Packers. and their love of music (Luke sings in the band the Spicy Tie and Tracie is an active music lover. They also bonded over their love of travel! Some of their travels including Banff National Park, Paris and Sedona. Due to their adventurous nature, these two adventurers wanted to elope on the cliff sides of Zion National Park in Southern Utah before they had their intimate ring ceremony and reception back home in Wisconsin with their immediate family and friends.

At Roaming Desert Film Co we were able to work with them to create a timeline that best suited their elopement needs and here is how their EPIC day turned out!

A Zion National Park Elopement: The Love Story of Jesi and Tyler

Like all great modern romances, this one began…with a Facebook friend request. Not just any request though - Tyler, being the gentleman that he is, asked Jesi’s mom for permission first and after careful preperation, he followed up with the smoothest, most original line of all time, “Hey, how’s it going?'“

Somehow that simple line was the beginning of everything. They lived 40 minutes apart and had to drive a bit to see each other, but they made it work, and even took a trip out to Acadia National Park that sparked an interest in exploring together.

Tyler proposed to Jesi at Disneyland, and she never saw it coming, but of course she said, “YES!” They ended up eloping in Zion National Park and did their honeymoon in the remaining Utah parks of the Mighty 5. Here is their love story!

Shooting at Dead Horse Point State Park

Dead Horse Point State Park is one of my favorite state parks in Utah because it has views similar to the Grand Canyon and Horseshoe Bend, but is less traveled. It also has some of the best sunrises and sunsets I have ever seen, making it perfect for bridals, eloping, or an engagement/adventure shoot here.
