Northern Utah Elopement

Photo and Video Team

Dream of gorgeous mountain views, fields of wildflowers, ice castles, salt flats, or snowy ski lodges for your elopement?

Hey There!

We’re your Northern Utah Elopement Guides

We’re Tana (photographer) and Cory (videographer)

When an artsy music teacher met a mortgage broker athlete on Bumble, our photo & video team was born!

The first year of our marriage we traveled Europe visiting 15 countries and took photos and video of everything in sight! When we returned to the states, we became obsessed with telling others’ love stories through photo and film! Come adventuring with us along the Wasatch Ridge in Northern Utah and we’ll show you all of the beauty that those mountain sunsets have to offer!

What’s Included

We care about making your story YOURS!

01 Documenting your AUTHENTIC story

Every elopement and love story is unique. We want to take the time to get to know you, your story and your wants for the day. We set up Zoom calls prior to your elopement, at your convenience, and send a questionnaire so that we can include every detail that makes your story YOURS! This helps your elopement day vision come to life!

02 Location Scouting

We are sure to hike the trails and scout your elopement locations during the week before your elopement, to make sure if anything pops up then we have Plan B routes to keep your day running smoothly. We want to take the stress off of your shoulders and be the experts you can rely on!

03 Permit Expertise

National Parks do not allow drone footage, but we are familiar with the surrounding areas that do allow drone permits so that your video footage can still look like a million bucks and have those stunning aerial shots. We also have a knowledge of Utah’s marriage legalities and permits, and can help you make sure everything is on track!

04 Planning Support

Due to our deep knowledge of this area, we know many vendors that can be available for your elopement. We also will offer you unlimited support in planning for your big day and helping out in any way we can. We want you to enjoy the moments that matter!

05 Leave No Trace Certified

We are Leave No Trace aware photographers and love to care for the environments we shoot in. We will leave each location better than when we found it, and the only memory of us there will be in your gorgeous photographs!

06 Beautiful Imagery and Video

On your day, we will ensure taking wonderful candid moments as well as give you posing prompts that will make you feel like a natural in front of the camera. As well as this, we take our time in the editing process to ensure you have incredible and artistic footage to honor and preserve your day.

07 Sneak Peek

We provide a photography sneak peek within 24-48 hours after your elopement so you can share your epic day with all of your friends!

FAQs

  • We believe in understanding who you are to best tell your love story! We'll capture intentional moments and artistic photographs/ film visuals out in nature.

We will be there to support you on your day and take stressors off of your shoulders by a very proactive and planned out approach - putting in efforts ahead of time so you can enjoy your day and your story!

Not to mention, if you have a loose bobby pin, we will be there to make sure its back in place! We are more than a photo/video team. We are your support for the day!

  • It depends on what your are trying to capture! All seasons in Northern Utah have their own special moments here!

Summer is a great time for being in the mountains and capturing wildflower fields full of hummingbirds from late July to early August. Just be sure to bring your bug spray!

Fall is beautiful in northern Utah with the different colors of leaves on the trees in the mountains. Leaves typically change color here from late September to early October.

Winter is great if you are a ski or snowboard couple, want to visit the ice castles (starting in January) or take a sleigh ride together before going back to your cozy lodge with a cup of hot cocoa.

Spring is great if you want to see the cherry blossoms bloom at the Capitol building (late march to early April), or see the tulip festival at Thanksgiving Point (April to May), or take your pics in a poppy or lavender field (early June).

  • Sure! We love to see your crew! Elopements don't have to be running away from it all. Your friends and fam can adventure with you, as well!

  • You will need to apply for a Utah Marriage license at a country clerk's office and pick it up in person. After your pick it up you have 30 days before it expires.

Utah also requires an officiant (Cory and I are ordained) and 2 witnesses present to sign your marriage license.

If you are planning eloping with just you two, you can use vendors to sign, or people on the trails are happy to sign as long as they are over the age of 18!

  • If you are looking to take bridals and your ceremony in the mountains, but have a reception at night where you can invite all your family and friends, here are some of my favorites:

    Quiet Meadow Farms

    Wadley Farms

    Walker Farms

    Cactus and Tropicals

    Highland Gardens

    Laziz Kitchen

  • We don't believe hiking HAS to be required to have a beautiful elopement day.

If you enjoy hiking and it is in your bones, we will happily grab our boots and go, but there are many overlooks in Northern Utah that don't require hiking.

Eloping here can be for the adventurous OR the adventure-ISH!

We don't recommend hiking more than 3 miles out and 3 miles back on your elopement day because the outfits and gear we are taking will be different than a normal hiking day.

No worries though, we know all of the trails in this area, and can share some good recommends that make sense for YOU!

  • Most of our elopements last from 4 - 12 hours (which can be split up into two days if you wish).

It depends on what adventures you want documented or not, and how long you want the EPIC fun to last!

Check out our different options here.

    1. Get in touch and fill out our contact form here.

    2. To book with us and hold your date, we require a contract signed and a 25 percent downpayment.

    3. We'll send out our elopement questionnaire and set up a Zoom call to plan it out!

    4. Let's get you hitched! Let's celebrate on the best day of your life!!!

      It's as easy as that!

  • Yes. Tana (photographer) and Cory (videographer) are both ordained through the Universal Life Church and can legally marry clients, if this is needed.
