How to Pose with Your Pups

Is your dog your fur child? Are you obsessed with their every move, puppy dog eyes and the way that they fall asleep?!? Does your best furry friend need to come with you on your photo shoot? I AGREE! Here are some cute pup poses for Fido and the fam.

  1. Paw to Paw

Have your pup rest their cute little paw on your hand(s). Is it an engagement/bridal shoot? If so, show off your new bling, as well!

2. The Over the Shoulder

Stand or sit to hold your pup over your shoulder and make them the star of this shot!

3. The Snuggle

Snuggle, love and kiss on your furry friend. This pup’s name was Freddie!

4. The Sit and Pet

Do what you normally do with your pet and talk to them and pet them. This one is good to do at the beginning of the shoot to get your dog comfortable for the new photoshoot experience.

5. Sneak a Kiss

Kiss or rub noses over your pups head. Caution, dogs may try to lick. haha

5. Picnic Blanket Pose

Roll around with your pup on a picnic blanket for a cute more unscripted feel.

6. Off into the Sunset

Walk off into the sunset with your pups and then turn around and walk towards your photographer with them!

7. The Cozy Up

Use your picnic blanket before and wrap it around your shoulders for a nice cozy shot with your furry friend.

8. Show off your Bling (and your Pup)

Hold hands to show off your engagement ring as your dogs also pose in the shot.

9. The Booty Bump

Booty bump each others hips while walking your dogs towards the camera for a fun, giggly pose.

10. Shake It Off

If your dog can shake, encourage them to lift their paw up towards the camera for a cute solo shot.

Extra Tips

Bring treats and hand to photographer to keep your dogs attention towards the camera. Also, try to find a non crowded area/time to go to, where there are limited distractions for your fluffy friend.
