Vintage Courthouse Wedding  in Downtown SLC

Looking for glamor and vintage city vibes on your wedding day, while still having a budget for the honeymoon? The chic courthouse wedding might be for you!

First off, the Fashion!

One thing that makes a courthouse wedding so fabulous is the fashion! This bride opted for the white classic pumps, with a vintage ankle strap, an extended veil with lace detail, and the collared halter dress. Together this gave old Hollywood vibes and made for such dreamy photos! We just needed to find the perfect downtown vintage backdrop!

Vintage SLC Photography Locations

We selected the Utah Capitol Building for it’s vintage vibes, embellished arches, old lanterns, grated ceilings, and cute golden elevator! Not to mention the amazing lighting it provides at sunset!

Some other great downtown locations for photos are:

  1. The Exchange Place Parking Garage - This is one of my favorite parking garages in the downtown area to shoot at because you get views of the mountains. You also get the view of Washington Square Park on one side and the SLC skyline on the other. In addition to this, it is right by the courthouse and yummy places to eat or go out after you sign your marriage license!

  2. Cathedral of Madeleine - love the stone towers, the embellished circular windows, and the classic cathedral look.

  3. Trolley Square - chance to stand in front of a wall of lights, check out Weller Book Works, or grab some ice cream at the food truck.

  4. Eva’s Bakery - grab a treat and some gorgeous shots at a vintage bakery with a pop of blue! I also love the through-the-window, cafe shots here!

  5. Salt Lake City and County Building has some beautiful architecture and a tall clock tower, not to mention it is next to the Salt Lake City Library with some beautiful design for photography, as well!

Eating Out - downtown SLC

The best part of getting married downtown is you are right by all of your favorite restaurants to eat at after your photo shoot!

Some of my favorites are:

  1. Table X

  2. BTG Winebar

  3. Valter’s Osteria

  4. HSL

Mini Moon: Downtown SLC

As well as eating downtown, you can celebrate your mini moon in one of the great places to stay!

Here are some of my favorites to stay at:

  1. Grand America - Keep the elegant, vintage, and glamorous vibes going with a luxury hotel with the most amazing brunch!

  2. Inn on the Hill - also has amazing vintage vibes and a cute breakfast meal in the morning.
