Finding Beauty in All Types of Weather

I’m a Northern Utah photographer and I love when my clients can see beauty in all types of weather. I really do believe that there is a balance in everything: in all life there are pros and cons to every choice and way of being. Every place has a certain beauty, as well as some flaws. Every person shares both beauty and weaknesses. Every type of weather comes with negatives, as well as incredible beauty.

I’m drawn to the adventurous hearts who search for the beauty in all types of scenarios, and I really do believe that “bad weather” is maybe best of all at storytelling.

It’s like that scene from The Notebook when they kiss in the rain. Do you think that scene would be nearly as impactful if Ryan Reynolds and Rachel McAdams weren’t drenched by the end of it! NO WAY!

Not to mention, the couple photographed has a passion for snowboarding. They could have easily opted to take their photos on a nicer day (one that wouldn’t get their hair wet or their cheeks rosy), but snow is actually an incredible part of their love story and their bond. You can see it in the photos and it turned out magical!

So grateful for my clients with explorer hearts who see the beauty in all types of weather (and for being raised by a family who taught me to see the beauty in it, too)!

This photoshoot was taken at Tibble Fork Reservoir up American Fork Canyon.
