Bonneville Salt Flats Engagement Session

Cassidy and Josh met on Bumble and it has been a love story ever since. Since they grew up in Utah they decided to take their engagement photos at the Bonneville Salt Flats outside of Wendover, Utah.

The Bonneville Salt Flats were formed from the ancient Lake Bonneville. Once dried up, the remnants of this lake that remained were minerals and salt that was left behind, forming the, out-of-this-world, Bonneville Salt Flats we know and love today. The salt flats are used for a speedway and also for pictures!

Summer to early fall is great if you want to take pictures when the salt flats are dry. November to April is the wet season at the salt flats.Though it may be inconvenient to get your feet wet, the wet season does offer cool reflective opportunities for photos, as well!

There are even casinos, concerts, and buffets nearby in Wendover so you can make a whole date after your photoshoot. Plus, you are already all dressed up and ready to go for date night!
