Studio Container

I am a former teacher turned photographer and this year I purchased my very own container studio. It’s equipped with large windows for great natural lighting, white shiplap walls, lots of space (considering it’s size) and even a rooftop view!

My husband and I worked with Alternative Living Spaces, located in Las Vegas, to design the container to meet the needs for my photography studio. ALT.L.S also creates pools and tiny homes, as well!

All we had to do was tell them the design, lay a concrete pad, dig a trench to get power out to the back yard, get it delivered and dropped off by crane! That was a fun day. You don’t get to see a giant container getting lifted over your home very often! :)

I used to teach music, so the other half the container is a music studio (for piano and voice lessons). I teach lessons on M,T, and W and then do shoots the rest of the week or in the daytime. It really does make for a wonderful and interesting life (in my very biased opinion). :)

I got to decorate this space and my favorite things to look at are “Sunset over Picacho” by Tuscon artist Scout Dunbar, AND my funny little chickens that roam the yard and squawk as I play the piano.

Now, I’m just waiting for my giant egg chair to arrive so I can swing on the patio and read. Thanks for everything, Alternative Living Spaces!
