Adding Grain to Your Photos

Adding grain to your photos invokes that vintage, story-telling, raw feeling in photos that so many of us are drawn to!

Here’s how to add a little bit of grit to your photos in Lightroom!

Lightroom Instructions

Go to the Develop Module in Lightroom, shortcut “d.”

Once there, select the Effects tab on the right.

You can then adjust the size and roughness of your grain, as well as using the Amount slider to control how much grain you want in the image.

Have fun experimenting with this until you get your desired amount of grain. You will be editing with vintage vibes in no time!
